The Community Church Newsletter for September 19, 2021, is now available.

Today’s newsletter includes a letter from Cantor David Sims. He has announced his resignation from his job at Holy Trinity. His last service will be Sunday, September 26. I plan to email all of my hymn requests to him later this week. (Not true—I don’t think he’s taking requests, but it’s fun to think about.)

Many climate groups, including MN Interfaith Power and Light and Climate Generation, are hosting a mayoral candidate Zoom webinar on local energy and climate justice tomorrow, September 14, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sign up here to receive the Zoom link.

Children and youth choirs begin rehearsing this week. The forecast for Wednesday is 75 and sunny—a perfect day to sing outside!

Now that Labor Day is in the rearview mirror, we can look forward to the start of the new church year. Adult choir starts rehearsing this week, and the youth choirs begin rehearsing next week. And the youth will begin meeting in person this Sunday! Deacon David is looking forward to welcoming youth to a new year of learning. He writes about it in today’s Community Church.

Also, note that the fall retreat has changed to a small program online.
