We speak his name: George Floyd.

Below you will find a link to a video that was made one year after the murder of George Floyd. We are sharing this with you in recognition of your support for Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and our Justice Fund. Please share this video, as you see fit, with your family, friends, congregations, and wider communities.

Donations to the Holy Trinity Justice Fund came from around the world after the death of George Floyd. Your generous assistance allowed us to be a source of help to our suffering community, supported us as we journeyed through the trial of Derek Chauvin, and encourages us as we brace for the upcoming trial of the other officers involved.

The injustice continues. We renounce the sins of white supremacy and institutional violence and pray for the families and friends of the victims. In these extremely difficult times, when we struggle to find words, we recite the Kyrie, saying, “Lord have mercy. Christ have mercy. Lord have mercy.”

Healing and renewal are happening in our community; there is much more to be done. Your loving support enables us to serve our community, support our neighbors, and work toward a more just and equitable society. Thank you for being our steadfast partner.
