The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your needs in parched places, and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters never fail. Your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to live in. Isaiah 58:11-12
These beautiful words point to our theme for Lent this year, Emerging Anew. We invite you to consider your hopes and dreams and God’s hopes and dreams. May the intersections spark our imagination for the world that can be. In addition to liturgy, music, and cosmic images, speakers will share reflections on this Emerging Anew theme each Wednesday. This week’s service includes a powerful reflection from member Sandra Hisakuni.
May the words of our benediction bless all of you this week: O Sacred Darkness of whom we are born, you sing, you bloom and give life. As beautiful blackness guides our feet, we walk with peace into the night, we walk with peace into the night.
